Here you will see who the Steering Team members of our Together We Build project are and read a short statement from each couple.

Pastor Mike and Karen Jarrett

We are so excited to be a part of Together We Build! Karen and I have been looking forward to a new Worship center for years! There is a real chance we could break ground in January of 2026 and be in our new Worship center by Christmas of 2026! Wow!! We are better together!

Pastor James and Robin Hurlburt

The numbers are in!… Every single day over 1,800 people are moving into Polk County and less than 2% of those are a part of a local Christian church. As our community around us continues to grow, our church family here at The Rock is growing as well, what an incredible blessing! It has been a privilege to serve alongside my family here for the past 4 years, and we’re praying for many more years to come. The new worship center space is a huge need that will a tangible difference for our ministry as we continue working “together” to serve our community with JOY!

Shane and Jackie Baz

We live in a world that continues to be more chaotic with each passing day. 25 years ago Pastor Mike Jarrett & his family, unconditionally gave all they had to plant a Church in Winter Haven, Florida called “The Rock”  with the belief of Loving God, Loving Others & Serving with Joy.  The Lord provided and The Rock Church has existed to minister to all in our community.  We are so grateful to have a House of Worship with such a huge heart for bringing ALL people to know our personal savior, The Lord Jesus Christ. Through prayer we believe that God is leading The Rock to build a larger Worship Center so that we may continue to welcome more people until the great day when Jesus Christ returns! Through our Faith we are asking for financial support so that more & more people can be led through & saved from the daily chaos.  To find the inner peace that only comes with knowing & trusting the Lord.Together in Faith, Loving God, Loving Others & Serving with Joy!

Bob and Chris Clark

We have been serving at The Rock for about 20 years! One of the treasures of our church is many members love to serve. Whether at one of our community events by the lake or serving on Sundays, we enjoy reaching out to our community. It’s a joy to see new faces and families joining us. Everyone feels welcome! Now it’s time to expand. A growing church is a healthy church and a healthy church can impact our community in a positive way!

Dale and Barb Ives

Dale and I have been members of the Rock family for 22 years It is our blessing to serve with this church home. Many wonderful memories spent here watching all our grandchildren be saved and baptized It’s our hearts desire to see that continue for other families to come with so much more room in our new church building To God be the glory.

Greg and Susan Lobdell

Susan and I have been members of the Rock for over 23 years. Pastor Mike has been our spiritual leader, our teacher, and our friend. The Rock family has been an integral part of our lives. They celebrated with us at our daughter’s wedding, and held us up at our son’s funeral. We believe that as our church reaches out to share the gospel and to extend the love of Jesus, this new building will allow us to invite more in to build the body of Christ. Susan and I are looking forward to being part of this new venture.

Greg and Lisa Mills

We have been associated with The Rock for about 19 years and members over 10 years. While here we have learned about the wonderful spirit of generosity. Now, with this next step in the life of our church, we are excited to see what God is going to do in our community as we boldly love Him, love others and serve with joy.

Kenny and Judy Ricks

Our church logo at The Rock states, Love God, Love Others, Serve With Joy. Our church is amazing, and is known to be a “Loving Church.” We need more room, we are reaching full capacity and this is with two services. We must continue Jesus’ Great Commission with TOGETHER WE BUILD, Matthew 28: 18-20 (KJV). In doing so, we need your help!

Jeff and Donna Weston

We are truly blessed to serve on this committee, united by a shared purpose to help build a new house of worship. It is both a privilege and a calling to be part of something so meaningful as raising funds not just for a building, but a sacred space where lives wil be transformed, prayers will be lifted, and faith will flourish for generations to come!
